Today I got a pleasant break from the Jamboree routine – I guess some would construe it as a “day off” !

I was lucky enough to catch up with Rowie, who's leaving for London tomorrow – we went for a lovely lunch at Red Rock on Glen Osmond Road. Plenty of chilli was EXACTLY what I needed to assault my cold with. Ah bliss – being able to breathe again…

Anyway, part way through lunch I got a call from Amie, an old friend of mine who I hadn't seen in a few years and who was moving across to WA via Adelaide. So Rowie and I mosied up the freeway to Hahndorf and enjoyed a couple of pints of German Wheatbeer with Amie and her boy.

After eventually returning to the Jamboree site, I managed to score a job running a spotlight at the main arena for the second night in a row. Spotlighting isn't the most intellectually stimulating job in the world, but I still quite enjoy it.

Now the “important” news, for those that are interested – The Booking has been Made. May the First. How exciting.
