The most intellectual publication ever publicated
Since I was about 14 I’ve been a keen reader of the English comic/magazine Viz. It’s not the type of journal anyone’s ever going to claim is educational or informative, but it is definitely bloody silly, and that’s perfectly good enough for me.
The only reason I really mention it is because I was thumbing through the latest copy on the Tube this morning (taking great care not to let any little kiddies see anything on its intellectually vacuuming pages), and stumbled across this gem in the Letterbocks section:
I can’t understand all this fuss about ‘evil’ Josef Fritzl? As I remember the last time an Austrian hid his young lover and seven children from the authorities the story was turned into the most successful and beloved film musical ever. People are so fickle.
