Wow. Weird. Had a bit of a BBQ around at Undies and Bullshit's place the other day for no other real reason than to celebrate the fact it was a long weekend, and the weather wasn't too awful. Aside from the ludicrousness of a bunch of people sitting in 14 degree weather in tshirts and looking at each other with a steeled look of concentration to convince themselves that it was actually warm, we also had a weird little reunion thing going on as well ! Undies had a friend from Melbourne over, who seemed to know a couple of his housemates randomly some other way, and then she knew a couple of Melbourney Gang Show types I'd met, and on the whole we were all a bit taken aback by the coincidence of it… then one of the other housemates piped up that *she* never had that sort of thing happen, and someone else said it was cos she was from Horsham. A bit of targeted name dropping later, and it turne dout she knows Patrick and Jules. Weird. The Adelaide/Melbourne/Horsham Effect, in Golders Green !

Irrelevantly, is it just me, or is anyone else cynical about what Hollywood has to offer at the moment ?

Equally as irrelevantly, it occurred to me yesterday that I've now been living in the UK for 12 months! One year down, 3 to go eh ? Wow. I'm still staggered that I've had the chance to do and see all the stuff I have in the last 12 months. SOOOOOO much has changed, that's for sure – it seems like a lot longer ago that I was hunkered down in the office in Rose Park, living in the Goodwood Road Bruhaus, driving about in the mighty Celica. Yikes. It has been a lot of fun though, and I'm extremely fortunate to have met some really cool new people since being here. I'm not gonna list them, cos knowing what I'm like I'll forget someone… but yeah – here's hoping the next 12 are just as good if not better !

(Incidentally, those lovely shots on the left are from the BBQ on the wkend!)
