Decent police drama about a wrongful murder conviction, with some thoroughly disagreeable arse-covering cops, some beautifully rich flawed characters, and nailbiting intensity. Peter Capaldi always seems to be about 40% more intense than other actors, although some of that’s GOT to be the fact that you’re waiting for him to unleash a volley of Malcolm Tucker-esque abuse. Cush Jumbo excellent in this as well – hard to fathom that I couldn’t remember what her hairstyle looked like in The Good Fight. I think my only critique was with the scriptwriting choice of calling her character “June Lenker”. I mean, just sounds made up, dunnit?
