3 branches of this Sichaun place exist, and their Dan Dan noodles were a thing of rare beauty.  The menu had something claiming to be ramen so a repeat trip for academic purposes is required.

Noodles had a good texture but were a bit clumpy. Broth nice enough, and kudos for being something new. The cucumber dish I had (Umekyu) had a weird texture but I loved it. Kara Age was tasty, but enormous – I wasn’t expecting to get served 6 whole chicken thighs!

Insipid dogshit. I can’t give them one star because it would be an insult to the one-star places. A “broth” so subtle you’d struggle to even call it Pho. Never again

Entirely decent. Tasty, good portions, and the brief chat we had with the manager made it feel less like a “chain” and more like part of a “group”. Definitely happy to return.

Apparently this place is a chain, and I for one don’t care a jot. They know what they’re doing.

Small outfit on Old Market with fairly restrictive hours and a bookings-only policy, it’s not easy to get into spontaneously. Delicious though and well worth making the effort.

Popped in here before a whisky festival one day and was glad I got in early doors, because 20 mins later and there wasn’t a spare seat in the place. Lovely lovely lovely.
