2 things really. 1) I didn’t think the phrase “elk-bothering stilts” should go unblogged (i.e. “Go strap on your elk-bothering stilts, and let’s go bother some elks!”) 2) the bloke in the following photo isn’t me: he’s in the USA, and his hat’s the wrong colour.

Here we are, set up at our excellet apartment in Åre. So far we’ve done a fair portion of remarking about how cold it is (-16 C), had an excellent dinner (Thai chicken curry – thanks johan & yoyo), and marveled at the diagrammatic accuracy on Swedish milk cartons. Snowboarding tomorrow! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
We made it to the airport okay, and 2/3 of us ran the checkin gauntlet (more on that another time), so now it’s just the waiting game…
I’m going snowboarding in the morning. Hurrah. 7 days in the more northerly bit of Sweden. Yay!
